In some cities, trollies are no big deal. But we don’t have any where we live, so it’s kind of special to see one. I’ve seen a few buses dressed up to look like trollies, but only a few cities have the real item. New Orleans has trollies that run down a track by the Mississippi, then turn up Canal Street through the heart of town. On the weekend we were there, we only saw one or two run by, and of course, I wasn’t prepared when they went past. I did find #457 though, waiting for customers as we walked by. I”m not sure what I like best, the idea of a train with only one car, or just the nostalgic design and colors.
