By the entrance to the little marina in Honfleur, France is this beautiful, double decker carousel. I haven’t found much information online about it, other than it’s open during the tourist season and possibly built around 1900. It wasn’t crowded the day we stopped by and no one went to the second level, but the teenagers in our group regressed a few years as they enjoyed it.

In a way the carousel symbolizes Honfleur, because though it may be old, it is colorful, happy and on the move. Honfleur bustles with activity as tourists walk, shop, eat and just enjoy the beauty of this town.
