I’ve been to the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida several times, but not with the sole purpose of photography. I had that chance recently and spent the day roaming around by myself. I love my family, but it’s nice when you don’t feel pressured to “hurry up” because someone is waiting. They didn’t mind my tripod at all and on this day, the crowds were light.

There is a new building behind the main complex called Hanger Bay One. This new attraction includes several historic airplanes, as well as many of the former work horses of military aviation. This view gives you an idea of the variety of the aircraft on display. I’ll spotlight one or two in the coming weeks. Any sooner and I know you would just burst with excitement.
