The ride on the London Eye takes about 30 minutes, yet it seems so much shorter. Though the view in every direction is incredible, I found myself wanting to shoot towards Westminster Palace and Westminster Abbey. I had to force myself to shoot in other directions, like towards the new Shard and westward as in this image. The building with the round arches is the Embankment Tube Station. Tubes, or subways, are a vital part to the transportation component in London, as it was in Paris.
