The first day we arrived in England, we hit the ground running. After checking into our hotel, we walked through the London suburb of Richmond, down to the River Thames, where we had lunch at one of the many restaurants to choose from. Most looked like large homes that had been converted and none had a commercial flair to them.

Along the bank of the Thames were a few boats that looked like they might be for evening tourist rides, but none were in-service during this lunch hour. This one old boat was in a state of repair, obvious due to the new, unpainted wood and clamps used to assemble new pieces.
