You have to like Dallas. It tries so hard to be like it’s bigger brother, Houston, while claiming to be a little better, but not quite making the mark. Disclaimer: I live close to Houston, so I’m a bit biased; but not much. 

There is one hotel there does make the mark. Le Méridien by the Galleria is a great place to stay while in Dallas. It has a bit more contemporary touch with an open feel that you enjoy staying in. A short walk across the street from the Galleria makes shopping just a bit too convenient, so be prepared to lighten your wallet at the mall, if the women tag along.
