I’m happy to say that I’m not old enough to remember kitchens that look like this one. But at the time, I’m sure they thought this was the latest in styling and convenience. This is a remake of a circa 1940s kitchen at  the National Naval Aviation Museum at the Naval Air Station Pensacola. They have a small town section of what things were like during WWII.

The funny thing is, trendy kitchens are starting to look like this again. If you keep something long enough, it seems to come back in style.  But please, go ahead and throw your old bell-bottom jeans away. Please.
