When most people think of auto racing, the driver is the first person to come to mind. While important, racing is a team sport. Any winning car owner will tell you that it is the driver, pit crew, mechanics and everyone involved that make the team a success. Many races have been won or lost, by the performance of their pit crew. It’s one of the most exciting times of a race when a car comes into the pit for refueling or repairs. The clock is ticking and every slice of every second counts.

This is calm before the storm at the GoDaddy pit at the Houston Grand Prix at Reliant Park. Racing isn’t a cheap sport either. Just the tires, body replacement parts, tools, and electronics you might find in the pits can cost a fortune. If it were not for the financial support of corporate sponsors, the technology that makes these cars go fast would probably not exist.
