Most of us don’t like old rusty things. If it’s old and rusty, it needs cleaning or replacing. My mother (“Nana” to all the grand-kids) has a decorative pump that she takes great joy in. One day, Papa decided that it needed the rust cleaned off and he dismantled it in an attempt to clean it. Let’s just say Nana wasn’t too pleased. She likes the rust just like it is. Maybe that’s why she still likes Papa.
