Sometimes it’s hard to tell how a sunset might develop. Will the clouds hold or will they fade away before the colors really get good?

It was late afternoon and I was just finishing some housework (no, I wasn’t cleaning, I was really working on the house) and noticed that there were still clouds around. Dinner was on the table, so I ate at a slightly faster pace, then excused myself and grabbed the camera. A few minutes later I was down the street at a high school that has a nice western view. This is one of the few shots I took, just before the clouds started dissipating. Before the sun touched the horizon, most of the clouds were already gone.
