The streets around Jackson Square are a popular destination for those visiting New Orleans. Open to pedestrians only, you will find artists, musicians and much more. Oddly enough, what was originally meant as a military parade area and a site for public hangings, it is now the heart of tourism for New Orleans. As my friends and I were finishing our pre-dawn visit to the French Quarter, the morning light was starting to illuminate the area, but not so much that the wet pavement  still provided nice reflections from an earlier street cleaner.
