The record drought that Texas has experienced this summer will set many farmers and ranchers back for years to come. As you drive around, it looks more like winter here, as the fields are brown and the trees look bleak. While some parts of the country has had too much water, we have had way too little. 

To relieve my “green deprivation”, I think back on our trip this last spring to the Blue Ridge Mountains and our ride up Skyline Drive. The scenery there is as pretty as it gets.
