There was a lot of controversy when the City of Houston first installed their light rail system. Many folks claimed it didn’t go where it was most needed, while others complained about the cost. Well, time has past and  their routes are growing. I don’t think the cost has dropped, but more people do use it. It even stops at Relient Stadium for football games and the rodeo.

As cool as I think the train is, I have yet to ride one. The are quiet and sleek, fitting right in to the contemporary downtown Houston skyline. While shooting photos close to Hermann Park, the train slid by quietly and I barely had time to raise the camera up to grab this shot. I’m going to have to take a ride sometime this year and add it to the new things to do under the excuse of taking more photos. Sounds like a plan.
