I remember as a child when they built the One Shell Plaza (on the left). I recall being sad for the older Exxon building, since it lost the title of the tallest in Houston. A decade later, the Wells Fargo Bank Plaza was built adjacent to it and is still the second tallest building in the city and in the state with 71 floors. We may not have the tallest buildings in the country, but it’s the many styles of architecture that help make the Houston skyline one of the most unique.
