When you exit off the interstate and start cruising the backroads in our country, you get to see the country as it really is. No McDonalds, Buckee’s or other tourist stop. Just the real America.
When visiting relatives in Virginia, my aunt took us down Graves Mill Road, named for the abandoned mill located there. In the late evening with the family loaded in her pickup, we lazily drove around enjoying the cool evening air, the deer peeking over the fields and the beautiful countryside. I tried to take a few shots, but the light wasn’t outstanding. This image was nice, but was missing “something”. I’m not a big fan of effects on images, but I thought this worked well. What do you think?
