Vargo’s, a Houston restaurant, was famous for its scenic, lake-front property featuring a white gazebo where many a couple has said “I do.” The wooded site was also known for the peacocks and the wooded pathways were visitors would stroll after dinner. I proposed to my wife there a few years back (okay, more than a few) and have enjoyed several fine meals there since. Today, the restaurant is gone, but the memories for many people live on.
