HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!
Thousands of photographers across the country will pull their tripods out of the closet today and wipe the dust off of it. This is the one night of the year most will connect their cameras to it and head out to their local fireworks show. It’s the type of shot you get whether you need it or not, since it’s the kind of picture any good patriotic photographer is supposed to take.
The fact that you just want to feel the same excitement you did as a kid and see all the cool explosions and lights, has nothing to do with it. Really. Honest.
As my luck has it, something usually comes up and I can’t make it to a fireworks show on the fourth, so I took this at our local minor league baseball game on a Friday evening in June, just in case.
