In a recent post, I mentioned that we have had clear evening skies most of this summer. Yesterday was the first day for some time that I saw a hint of clouds. I was away out of town west of Houston, but had a camera with me and found a clear area for the sunset.

After thinking of a name for this post, I remember yesterday that large wildfires in Bastrop had destroyed several hundred homes between Houston and Austin. It’s possible some of that smoke contributed to the “clouds” in this photo. It may mean the “fire in the sky” may have come from fire on the ground. Our thoughts and prayers go to those folks who have lost property and homes due to the wildfires in Texas and elsewhere.
