Compared to most landscape photographers, I have traveled very little. I’ve never had a job that afforded me the opportunity to jet around the country or world. And up until a year ago, I wasn’t too concerned about the geography. But now that my camera has been surgically attached to my hand (okay, it just feels like it sometimes) I find the cravings to wander growing the longer I stay home.

The view along Skyline Drive looks westward down into the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
