One thing I noticed traveling through the English and French countryside was the amount of color. Sometimes that buildings, sometime the signs, but always the flowers. Maybe we hit it just right for the flowers to be in bloom, but they seemed to be everywhere. Flower boxes on windows, in the traffic roundabouts and every where else you looked. And in the cities, what they lacked in trees, they made up for in flowers. Everywhere you looked you could find a splash of color.
