I don’t know about your family, but whenever we go on vacation or to a major attraction, we can’t pass the souvenir shop. We don’t always purchase something, since most prices are inflated, but it’s fun to look. Most beach resorts have loads of small shops selling everything for the summer tourist. But it’s the odd items that seem to grab my attention.

When was the last time you saw “clored” shells? I’m not sure where they come from; possibly from an extravagant tropical island, or maybe they gurgled up from the depths of the Mariana Trench. My guess is there’s an old fat man in the back room with a couple of cans of spray paint creating these wonders of science.

Wherever they come from, they add to the local flavor and increase the visual bounty of our seaside shopping adventure.
