It had been a long day of sightseeing and we were very tired, so we decided to try the city bus system in Washington D.C. Since I live in the suburbs, we never take a city bus and I secretly had a few questions. How much does it cost? Where do they take the money? Do they give change? But my legs were tired and one way or another, I was riding the bus.

As it turned out, the closest stop to our hotel was right by Chinatown at the Friendship Arch. This arch really brightens up downtown and sets the tone for many of the stores in the area. By the way, the bus ride wasn’t that scary after all.
