There is something comforting about the end of a long journey or trip. Yes, we enjoy vacations and new adventures, but when everything is finished and the day is done, there is a small sense of relief that everything ended well. Back in the day when I used to ride motorcycles, I would be anxious before a big trip, not sleeping much the night before. But at the end of the trip, pulling the bike into the garage brought the feeling of thanks for a fun time and relief that all ended well. I can only imagine that the same feelings might be shared by those who sail the ocean, drive cross-country, fly abroad or other long distance adventure.
