Today, Buckingham Palace was the site for the formal birth announcement for the new royal baby boy born today. Obviously, the crowds were much greater there today than it was last year, when this was taken. On any day though, there is quite a crowd of onlookers and tourists.

This statue of a lion and a woman with a sickle, representing Agriculture, is found on Victoria Memorial just in front of Buckingham Palace. This statue and others are part of the Queen’s Garden between the palace and the mall. I’m not sure I was supposed to climb as high as I did here, but it did get a good perspective and I didn’t get arrested.
