Since the drought has eased up in my part of Texas, we’ve had more clouds around sunset than last year. That means more opportunities for sunset photos. More times than not, the clouds dissipate before sunset or it’s simply too cloudy for a nice view. Lately with Daylight Savings Time, I’ve had a lot of “strike outs”. I’ll go set up and the clouds will cover the horizon, or I’m stuck in traffic as it starts getting dark and I can’t get to a good view.

This image was one lucky evening in late October when everything came together for a few moments. It wasn’t long after this shot the clouds rolled in and the sky got battleship grey.
