Many years ago, a certain young lady I know well was proposed to by this certain young man. We’ve been married for twenty five years now and it all started at a restaurant in Houston called Vargos. That’s where I proposed and my guess is, a few others folks have done the same over the years. It’s a white table cloth kind of place, with a grand piano playing classic tunes while patrons look out over a lake complete with swans and peacocks.

After dinner, you can stroll the grounds admiring the gazebo, flowers and the beautiful peacocks that freely roam the grounds. The night I proposed, a large armadillo scampered past our feet like we weren’t even there. Only in Texas.

This will take you to other scenes from other visits at Vargos as they are added.
