Exploring in the Hall of the Americas at our Pixel Party night in the Houston Museum of Natural Science, you discover many exhibits from Native Americans and much earlier. Time was short, so I had to quickly choose what I might like to photograph. This artifact immediately caught my eye, though it is not something I would want to meet in a dark alley at night. Its description read as:

This Aztec skeleton represents Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli, a god … the Aztecs believed devoured people out late at night. Such images were used to teach children obedience. A test called thermoluminescence confirms this artifact was made in the early 1500s.
