Rouen was one of those towns that you knew you weren’t in Kansas anymore. Instead, you knew you were in France. It just had that feel to it all the time. Things seemed a bit more crowded, but that may have just been the “touristy” area we were visiting. The old buildings, the cathedral, the food and so many other things contributed to the atmosphere of a French village that just kept growing over time.
This is one of the busy shopping areas that leads away from the cathedral and towards the Great Clock of Rouen. It’s a long street and the clock is much larger than it appears in this image.
