Just behind the bridge of the USS Lexington aircraft carrier in the ship’s control area. This is where the engine speed, navigation instructions and other ship functions were relayed throughout the vessel.

This was a hard area to shoot for two reasons. It was a very small room, so the wide-angle zoom was perfect for this. Plus people kept walking into the shot. Imagine that, tourists getting between me and my subject. Who did they think I was, just another tourist too? 🙂  You just have to be patient and smile and hope your family doesn’t leave you behind while you wait for everyone else to move. It pays to keep the car keys, so your family doesn’t drive home without you.
