The addition of METRORail to Houston has not been without its controversies; the cost, who it serves and such. But it is hard to deny that the trains add to the contemporary feel that has transformed downtown Houston over the last several decades. The train service is expanding and will gradually expand to other areas of the city. Personally, I wanted a monorail system, but this is better than the older diesel systems some cities still use. 

This was taken in the heart of downtown late one Friday night. I was standing in a fountain area that was sans water, due to maintenance repairs. I’m glad, as it was cold that night and I would not have wanted my feet to get wet. 🙂
