There is a small stretch of road on my way home from work that is unobstructed by power lines, buildings or other unsightly items that might deter from a sunset. The trick is hitting that spot on the way home from work, on a day when the sky and weather cooperate and I have a camera in hand.

More times than not, it doesn’t work out. The sun sets much later in the evening, or there are no clouds, or I forgot my camera… you get the idea. On this day, things timed out right. I didn’t have the SLR, but did have my iPhone and decided to stop. People driving by must have wondered what the nut holding his arms in the air in front of him was doing, but hey, they missed a great sunset.
