Wanting to be an astronaut as a kid, I remember the thrill it is to visit the planetarium for the first time. The stars, constellations and wonders of the skies come to life as you sit back and gaze upward. A day at the science museum would not be complete without a visit to the planetarium.

This is the entrance to the Burke Baker Planetarium at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. It’s not as new as some of the attractions there, but for some of us, it’s just as exciting. Today, I would probably be an avid astronomer if I lived out in the country, where I could actually see the stars at night.
