Many of you might call this London icon Big Ben, but you would be mistaken. Big Ben is the nickname of the great bell inside the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London.

The “Clock Tower” in London was renamed the Elizabeth Tower in 2012 to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II.  The tower holds the largest four-faced chiming clock in the world and is the third-tallest free-standing clock tower. It was a real thrill to step out of the subway and look up to see this great and beautiful tower. It was one of my favorite sites while in England.
