From the back deck of the Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant in Galveston, you can enjoy a great view of the Elissa. Elissa was built in Aberdeen, Scotland as a merchant vessel and was originally launched on October 27, 1877. She has sailed under several countries in various configurations before purchased in 1975, by the Galveston Historical Foundation, her current owners. She made her first voyage as a restored sailing ship in 1985 and continues to go through maintenance projects to keep her sea worthy. Another view can be found here.
