There’s one thing you can always count on at a rodeo, and that is lots of boots. Boots on the cowboys, boots on the cowgirls and those that want to be (or at least pretend for the weekend).
I grew up in boots in high school, but gradually stopped as I got older. In the Houston heat, it just doesn’t make sense sometimes. So like a lot of folks, I pull them out, polish them up and slap them on for rodeo time. I bet you have a pair in the closet somewhere too.
