I remember my first car had a chrome bumper that could stop a Mack truck. Well, almost. But it was large and people knew it meant business. Most cars today are covered in plastic on the front. What little chrome they have is usually chrome tinted plastic trim. Engineers will tell you all that plastic allows the car to compress better in an accident, reducing injuries to the occupants. While that is probably correct, the design aesthetics have changed forever.

This antique roadster is complete with chrome headlights, radiator, hood ornament and more. They just don’t make like this anymore. I failed to identify the model of the car when this was taken, so if you know what it is, leave a comment and help us out!
