The Hays Street Bridge at sunset is a great place to view the San Antonio skyline from a distance. It’s a long bridge built by the Southern Pacific railroad after growing rail traffic made passage to the neighborhoods difficult. Completed around 1910 (the date varies according to who you read), it was assembled from parts from other bridges. The large wooden planks take you over several rail lines, making for fun train viewing as they pass under.
