There is a false sense of security about going to the zoo. Not that it is unsafe. They go to great lengths to provide a fun and safe experience for all that visit.
But when you remember that the animals there are wild by nature and many would kill you without a second thought, it starts to put things into perspective. This is where the fear from the animal provides a healthy dose of respect in their care and protection.
I’ve heard that it’s better to have a great subject than a technically perfect photo. Though this photo isn’t perfectly sharp when enlarged to full size, I think it’s a decent shot of this beautiful cheetah. It’s too bad that living at the zoo, it will never be able to do what it was born to do and run full speed, as it does in the wild.
