Summer is a great time of year to send the kids to the public library. I remember as a child, what a treat it was to go to the local library and bring home a stack of books. You could pick out several and they were free to borrow. Wow! Mine always seemed to be centered around cars and NASA.
I know these days, with things like the Kindle and iPad, real books may not be as cool. But there will always be something special about browsing the shelves and finding a gem that you can take home for your own, if just for a while.
