One of the great attractions when visiting the Capitol are the statues that adorn the Rotunda, Statutory Hall and hallways of this famous complex. Former presidents and other famous dignitaries are represented throughout. There are so many, it’s hard to find someone, unless you know beforehand where they are located. Do your homework before you visit and you won’t miss your favorite person.

Represented here is General Eisenhower, Supreme Commander of the troops invading France, before becoming President. Behind him is the Embarkation of the Pilgrims, painted in 1843.
