As a photographer that enjoys landscape photography, you automatically have a favorite spot for sunrise and sunset images. Most times, its just sheer luck getting the right combination of location and weather. Last fall, when we visited North Carolina, we rose early one morning when we thought conditions would be right and made our way up the highway to a great vantage point.  We found our spot at Standing Indian Gap and settled in for a beautiful sunrise. With constant changing light and clouds, it made for a great morning of images.
